On Tuesday, 12 April at 18:00 PST, the North American Star League will kick off with some of the greatest StarCraft II players in the world vying for top honors in this grueling competition. Geoff "iNcontroL" Robinson and Andre "Gretorp" Hengchua will be providing commentary with guest appearances by Tasteless, Artosis, Khaldor, Totalbiscuit, HDStarcraft, Husky, and Diggity.

Here's a taste of what's coming your way on opening day:

DreamHack Stockholm Invitational Tournament

Fancy seeing some fast-paced, top-notch live StarCraft II action? There'll be no shortage of it at the DreamHack Stockholm Invitational tournament, which is taking place tomorrow, Tuesday April 12, at the Kulturhuset in Stockholm, Sweden.

Eight top StarCraft II players from all over the world are getting ready to do battle over a prize pool of 100,000 SEK, including: HuK (Canada), IdrA (USA), Jinro (Sweden), MC (South Korea), MorroW (Sweden), SjoW (Sweden), TLO (Germany) and White-Ra (Ukraine). With legendary names like these on the roster, you can expect an epic show!

Be sure to tune in to the stream at 14:45 CEST for the start of the tournament. The event will be broadcast in HD free of charge on the official DreamHack livestream, featuring shoutcasting from Benjamin "DeMusliM" Baker and Shaun "Apollo" Clark.

StarCraft II Wins LARA Award!

On March 30, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty took home the highly prestigious LARA – Best International Computer Game award.

Blizzard Entertainment Europe was on hand in Munich, Germany to receive the trophy. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King took the LARA Online Award in 2009, making this year's award the second LARA Blizzard has won.
